Selected Entry Accelerated Learning (SEAL) Program

Phoenix P-12 Community College’s Academic Achievers (SEAL) Program recognises that gifted and high-potential students are found in all communities, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

The program provides talented students with opportunities for a curriculum platform based on enrichment and acceleration. The College is staffed with hand-selected teachers who are experienced at engaging and developing the talents of gifted students.

Students will be nurtured as they build their leadership skills, pursue their passions, extend their creative abilities, connect with the broader community, and learn at a faster pace and greater depth, striving for academic excellence.

Who Should Apply

Students suited to the Academic Achievers SEAL Program are those who:

  • Have above average academic ability and excel in most areas of the curriculum.
  • Are creative.
  • Have high levels of maturity and commitment.
  • Have strong and positive self-concept.
  • Are capable of independent learning.

Entrance Requirements

Entry to the Phoenix P-12 Academic Achievers SEAL program will be determined by:

  • A General Achievement Entrance Examination.
  • An interview with a member of the College Leadership Team.
  • Review of school reports and information from the previous school record.

Application Process

Parents or Guardians must complete the online preliminary application form or submit an application form available at the General Office, Sebastopol Campus. Applicants will be contacted in Term 3 with the date and time of the Entrance Exam and interview.
